End User Policy — Ridiculous Ventures LLC
Effective Date: January 21, 2026Hero Scrolls is a fan-made companion service that may support and provide tools, information, matchmaking features, and other services related to third-party games, including Rise of Kingdoms and other games that may be added after launch. The Service is not limited to any one game.
You must be at least 13 years old to create an account or use the Service. If your jurisdiction requires a higher minimum age, you represent that you meet that age or have valid parental/guardian consent as required by law.
A paid subscription is required to access paid features. To purchase a subscription or Tokens, you must be of the age of majority where you live (typically 18) and capable of forming a binding contract, or your parent/guardian must purchase on your behalf. Purchases may be processed by Google Play, Apple App Store, or PayPal, which may impose additional age restrictions.

You agree to provide accurate information and keep it current.
If you sign in using Google OAuth, Google authenticates you. We do not receive or store your Google password — only the unique identifier Google provides to associate your sign-in with your Hero Scrolls account.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and for all activity under it. Notify us promptly of any unauthorized use.
Certain features of the Service require an active subscription. Tiers, pricing, and included features are described within the Service.
Subscriptions are offered on a recurring monthly basis and may automatically renew unless canceled. Management depends on where you purchased:
If we offer free trials or discounts, additional terms will be disclosed at signup.
We may change subscription pricing, tiers, or features from time to time. If a change affects your subscription, we will provide notice as required by law and/or the applicable platform.
The Service may offer an in-app/website currency called Tokens. Tokens:
Except where required by applicable law or platform rules, all sales are final and non-refundable, including Subscriptions, Tokens, and digital services.
If we receive a chargeback, reversal, or reasonably suspect fraud, we may suspend or terminate access, revoke associated Tokens, and/or require re-payment, to the extent permitted by law.
Hero Scrolls may include features that allow users to connect with each other, including a private chat feature and matchmaking (e.g., connecting a player to a “pilot” user for gameplay help).
Ridiculous Ventures is not a party to any agreement between users. If you choose to share third-party account credentials with another user, you do so voluntarily and at your own risk. We do not require credential sharing, do not store third-party passwords, and are not responsible for any loss or dispute arising from such sharing.
We do not provide escrow, do not process payments between users, and do not guarantee outcomes. Nothing in the Service creates an employment, agency, or joint venture relationship between Ridiculous Ventures and any user.
To offer services as a “pilot,” you must be at least the age of majority where you live (typically 18) and legally able to enter into contracts.
Tokens may be required to access certain matchmaking features. Token use for matchmaking does not make us a party to your arrangement with another user.
The Service may provide a private chat room between users. Messages are automatically deleted after approximately 6 weeks, aligned with the longest typical KvK competition session.
Users may optionally “bind” a Rise of Kingdoms Governor ID to their account (including to a Discord ID/profile name) to help verify identity. We may verify binding using information from the game or through mechanisms in the Service.

We may suspend or terminate access for suspected violations.
You retain ownership of any content you submit (“User Content”). You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, display, and use your User Content only as needed to operate, provide, and improve the Service.
If you provide suggestions or feedback, you grant us the right to use it without restriction or compensation.
The Service — including its software, design, text, graphics, and logos (excluding third-party marks and User Content) — is owned by Ridiculous Ventures or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works except as permitted by these Terms.
The Service may integrate with or link to third-party platforms (Discord, Google, Apple, PayPal) and games. We do not control third parties and are not responsible for their content, policies, or services. You agree to comply with all applicable third-party terms when using those services.
We aim to provide a helpful and reliable Service, but we do not guarantee 24/7 availability. The Service may be unavailable due to maintenance, updates, technical issues, or events outside our control.
We may update, modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time.
We may suspend or terminate your access at any time if we reasonably believe you violated these Terms or if we need to protect the Service, other users, or our legal interests. You may stop using the Service at any time.
We do not guarantee that the Service will be accurate, complete, or error-free, or that any game-related guidance will produce particular results.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some of the above may not apply to you.
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Ridiculous Ventures and its owners, officers, employees, and agents from and against claims, damages, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of your use of the Service, your User Content, your user-to-user arrangements, or your violation of these Terms or applicable law.
Except for Excluded Disputes, you and Ridiculous Ventures agree that any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service will be resolved by binding individual arbitration and not in court. This agreement is governed by the Federal Arbitration Act.
Either party may bring the following in court: claims for small claims court (if eligible), or claims seeking only injunctive relief to stop unauthorized use or IP infringement.
Arbitration will be administered by a reputable provider (such as AAA or JAMS) under its applicable rules. Unless otherwise agreed, arbitration will be conducted in Maricopa County, Arizona or remotely. The arbitrator may award the same remedies as a court.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, you do not have the right to opt out of arbitration. If applicable law requires an opt-out right or limits any part of this section, that law will apply only to the extent required, and the remainder will remain in effect.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Arizona, without regard to conflict of laws rules, except where federal law applies (including the Federal Arbitration Act).
If a dispute is not subject to arbitration, it will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Maricopa County, Arizona, and you consent to personal jurisdiction there, unless applicable law provides otherwise.
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the updated Terms with a new effective date. Continued use of the Service after changes means you accept the updated Terms, to the extent permitted by law.
